About me: ~Retired spoken word artist. ~Black, divorced, 42 years old, mother of 1 daughter and 2 sons, all 8 years apart; "sex-ay" youthful grandmother of 1. ~I've worked in the Medical Billing/Insurance field for 20 years. That isn't what I am; it is what I do to feed my family. ~Empathetic, caring, witty, non-judgemental and very outspoken. Yet also somewhat shy-those that take the time to know me will see this about me. ~Advocate. ~Liberal Christian. ~Anti-war.  ***** sometimes i sit on my bed late at night by myself reflecting on the sorrows that i have somewhat survived throughout my life. sometimes i peek in the mirror and the reflection staring back at me shows a woman/child lost feeling so abandoned, so cold trying 2 raise 3 children 2 live up 2 their OWN dreams and desires not feeding into what the world expects them to be part of corporate america's "lend-spend" mentality! sometimes i look at my two young sons wondering how i, a divorced woman, can possibly raise them 2 be strong, proud black men? when everything else i atttempt seems to fail, dissolve, or desecrate? will i harm them? will i hurt them? yes, sometimes i'm scared so i commence to cry and then... i sigh. sometimes i envision the corporate world is a thing of my past! i could actually kiss my 9-2-5 goodbye! no longer an imprisoned indian amongst 2 many chiefs That don't have a clue of what's right 2 do how 2 lead or 2 heed or even proceed even if the CREATOR personally came 2 show them the way! sometimes i pray i will no longer be abiding in the midst of ghetto decay but surrounded by fresh greenery marigolds daisies carnations of hope with sunshine galore... and fresh atmosphere! sometimes i hope that it's not way too late to make a living creatively at the mature age of-"over" 38! famous author, well known poet on point musically a world renown artist revered throughout the world for all to behold, to see... (that's just another dream deferred!) yes sometimes i zone but then i come back and then... i sigh. sometimes it seems i will actually discover the mate 2 my soul enveloping my pure aura feeding and heeding my true loving spirit. whose baring and caring and not scared of sharing his innermost secrets, desires and fantasies. standing tall and strong proudly beside me helping me guiding me simply loving me. painting on my neck promises and previews of passion with his instrument of speech. slowly caressing then planting tender kisses with lips sweet as sun-ripened mangoes dipped in pure honey as soft as the first rose petals that blossom in spring sometimes i can feel him staring deeply into my eyes with an unflinching gaze that reflects back my soul. holding me close 2 his chest until we mesh, meld and mold the entwined beating of hearts and with us becoming as 1... sometimes i feel him sometimes i breathe him yes, i do dream him...
